Welcome to Danville Area Youth Music (aka DAY Music), where the goal is to provide music lessons that are fun and affordable. with benefits lasting a lifetime.

Accepting new students for piano and wind instrument (woodwind/brass) instruction!

Wind instruments for beginner and intermediate instruction include:

Flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium (baritone).

Your instructor, Melissa Hess, is a certified music educator with multi-faceted experience teaching students of all ages -- pre-K through high school. She earned her degree in music education from the University of Illinois. She has spent much of the past 15 years homeschooling her 6 children, and working part-time in her second career as a midwife (primarily with the Amish). Melissa has been active in the music ministry of her church for the past 25 years+ as a pianist, vocalist, and worship leader.​
